The NLR Approach
NLR is led by Andrew Ayvazian, an active high school basketball coach who is constantly building relationships with coaches, athletes, and people throughout the sports world. Through coaching and recruiting, we’ve developed a strong understanding of what it takes for athletes to compete at the next level, and what college coaches look for when evaluating them.
We aren’t video editors who discovered recruiting. We are active coaches, on the sideline every season, in the gym every week, and in the film room when everyone else has gone home.
That perspective shapes everything we do. From evaluating film and identifying the right clips, to crafting effective messages and communicating with college coaches, we know that recruiting is about much more than simply getting an athlete’s name out there. It’s about presenting the right story, targeting the right programs, and approaching the process the right way.
We have spent years building relationships across the D1, D2, D3, and JUCO landscapes, and college coaches reach out to NLR directly, not because of a marketing budget, but because the quality of the work speaks for itself. That network now spans the country: we work with athletes and families nationwide, with an established presence throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.
What separates NLR from every other recruiting service is simple: the people building your tape have stood on the other side of the table. We have evaluated athletes and know exactly what makes a coach stop scrolling and pick up the phone. That insight is built from years of being inside the game.

Why I Started NLR
I started NLR because I believe recruiting has become too complicated, too expensive, and too focused on selling families a dream instead of helping them achieve one.
Travel basketball, recruiting services, showcases, camps, tournaments, highlight tapes: too often, the message to families is simple. Pay more, play more, get more exposure, and eventually the opportunities will come. But recruiting doesn’t work that way.
I’ve watched athletes and parents spend thousands of dollars chasing exposure without ever receiving honest answers about where the athlete actually stands, what schools are realistic, what coaches are looking for, or what they should be doing next. Too many families are sold promises, too many athletes are told what they want to hear, and too many people in this industry make money whether the athlete gets closer to their goal or not.
I wanted to build something different. NLR was created from a coach’s perspective, not to sell athletes a fantasy, but to help them build a real path toward their goals. We don’t believe every athlete needs the most expensive tournament, the biggest travel program, or another recruiting package. We believe athletes deserve honest evaluation, smart strategy, professional presentation, and someone genuinely invested in their future.
Behind every athlete is a family. Behind every highlight tape is a dream. Behind every tournament, early morning workout, long drive, sacrifice, and dollar spent is a kid who simply wants the opportunity to see how far they can go.
We’re not here just to make a highlight tape. We’re here to help athletes understand where they are, where they can go, and what it will take to get there.
